This is no Sanford or Fiddlehead, but this is a good example of Santa Rita Hills pinot noir, and a good quaffer at around $20. Typical Santa Rita Hills nuances, with strawberry, dark cherry, and cola on both the nose and the palate.
This wine will definitely benefit with some time in the cellar laying on it's side, but it is also drinking very nicely right now, and worthy of 86 points. Can probably gain a point or two with a 1-3 hour decant, and maybe even 3 points with a few more years in the bottle. Drink or hold! Cheers!
