Taste more of the syrah that the pinot. Pairs nicely with a pie from Leonardi's in Hamilton, but nothing really special about this wine....day 3 after re-capping and putting in the cellar has really mellowed this wine out. This definitely as some syrah in it, and the pinot is very subdued. Very peppery, yet very smooth finish. Decent daily drinker, but not quite my style...would like more of a pinot influence in this wine than syrah...83 points.
