2005 Stags' Leap Winery Viognier

Great '05 Viogner, but how can you not like Stag's Leap? Jim popped this out at their house tonight to enjoy with sushi. What a great pairing to go along with his seared ahi tuna on garlic toast with a killer wasabi mayo. YUM, but what do you expect for a CIA grad?
Awesome nose of honeysuckle, mellon, cantelope, and peach nectar. This has the nose of a great summer wine, and would indeed be a great summer wine. On the palate, a little more of the same, with some hints of passion fruit. Not overly sweet, and just a joy to drink. Short finish, with next to no acidity, and just a hint of minerality. Very nice wine, and yet another winner from Stags' Leap. This one is even better than the Fess Parker that seems to be our "go to" Viogner. 90 points. Cheers!
