2006 Stefania Cabernet Sauvignon Uvas Creek

Yet another bottle popped and poured, and this is still a staple in the Stefania lineup for me.  Although I like the '05 a tad more than the '06, this is still a great wine for the money.

Gorgeous ruby color in the glass, with a nose dominated by sweet cherries and mixed red ad black berries.  Secondary aroma's were all over the place, which I haven't experienced with this wine before, but there seemed to be so much going on!  Anything from menthol, to mocha, to spices, sweet vanilla, etc.  What a gorgeous nose, and still one of my many favorites in the lineup.

On the palate, as always, this is pure heaven at the price.  Dark currants and cherry dominated the palate, with some jammy raspberry and other dark fruits.  Some nice creamy oak round out the palate, and the finish lingers.  This wine easily has another 5-10 years left in it, and it just continues to evolve.  92 points!  Cheers!
